Alan Towers is a University of Toronto graduate, having earned his Bachelor of Applied Science degree there in 1991. He is currently a registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in British Columbia, Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Ontario.

Alan holds a Permit to Practice with the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists, and Geophysicists of Alberta (APEGA), Association of Professional Engineers of Yukon (APEY), and a holds a Certificate of Authorization with the Association of Professional Engineers & Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS) and Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO).

Subsequent work as Operations Manager for Weir Power and Industrial (Weir Canada Inc.) provides Alan with extensive additional knowlege and experience of heavy industrial machine shop operations: 

·         Machine shop experience with very large rotating equipment and hydro generator maintenance.  

·         Field machining experience with pumps and hydro generator maintenance.
